Monitor Wildlife

JES_9701

Do you like being outside and learning new skills? If so, consider helping monitor local parks and natural areas for native wildlife. Monitoring helps indicate overall watershed health and how regional enhancement efforts are helping wildlife thrive. Opportunities range from one-time volunteer events to seasonal and ongoing programs.

Amphibian Egg Mass Monitoring

Join The Wetlands Conservancy January – March and pull on your chest waders and explore ponds and wetlands to identify frog and salamander egg masses.

Bird Monitoring

Join partners from Portland Audubon year-round to identify migratory and resident bird species.

Beaver Monitoring

Join The Wetlands Conservancy in the spring and summer to look for signs of beaver activity and dams.
