Help Spot Native Turtles

February 27, 2017

Where are the turtles of Washington County? Can they live in urban settings? What do they need to thrive?

To find out, Clean Water Services will be conducting turtle surveys in March, April and May of 2017. We need volunteers from the community to help gather data along Fanno and Summer Creeks.

  • Volunteers must be able to use binoculars and spotting scopes (training provided).
  • Volunteers will need to attend a training to learn more about turtle biology, and how to identify native and invasive species.
