Find Frogs and Spot Salamanders

Join Clean Water Services, Metro, Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District, Tualatin National Wildlife Refuge and The Wetlands Conservancy this winter to count frog and salamander egg masses in parks and natural areas around the region.

You'll help track Pacific chorus frogs, Northwest salamanders, long-toed salamanders and Northern red-legged frogs. Monitoring these native species helps indicate overall wetland health and how regional enhancement efforts are helping wildlife thrive.

Volunteers typically participate in at least three surveys in late January - March 2020. New volunteers must attend one of the three trainings listed below to participate in the 2020 season and can survey with one or multiple partners in the Tualatin watershed. Waders are provided.
