Streamside Stewardship Program for Property Owners
Qualifications
- Live within Clean Water Services’ service area.
- Own land within 100 feet of a stream or wetland in the Tualatin River watershed.
- Remove any Non-Native Invasive Plants before planting.
- Take before and after photos of your site.
- Submit a completed Streamside Property Owner Plant Request Form (PDF, 243KB) at least one week before plant pickup.
Plan your planting
- Plant at Clean Water Services density standards to establish a healthy plant community:
- square footage x 0.001 = number of trees
- square footage x 0.005 = number of shrubs
- Use our Native Plant Finder to choose appropriate plants; see the Streamside Property Owner Plant Request Form (PDF, 243KB) for available species.

Please note that plants are provided on a first-come, first-served basis up to 100 property owners and are only available on the pickup dates listed below. Plant requests are limited to 20 plants per property owner per year. For large areas, please consider a group event or discuss options with staff.

Plants are available on the following dates from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
Stream Operations Center (PDF, 2MB) in Forest Grove.
- October 9 and 10, 2008
- December 12 and 13, 2008
- February 20 and 21, 2009
